01. Beginning Guitar
This class is for all those who have always wanted to play the guitar but have no experience. Students are introduced to the basics of guitar. Learn how to play basic chords, the techniques of strumming and are introduced to tablature. Come and learn the easy ways to read music, learn music theory, and how to tune your guitar. Student must bring own guitar (not electric) and pick to all classes.

Sign Language
01. Sign Language I
Sign Language is one of the fastest growing languages in the United States. Learn the basics in this introductory class including the alphabet and basic sentence construction. Class will be taught by a certified Sign Language teacher. The class introduces the fundamentals of American Sign Language (ASL) used by the Deaf Community, including basic vocabulary, syntax, finger spelling, and grammatical non-manual signals.

Hobbies
01. Wine Tasting
The classes will combine actual wine tasting with technical information sharing. Each session will focus on a major wine producing region and include personal instruction from a wine industry professional specializing in that region. The main coverage will be on Italy, France, California/Oregon/Washington (USA), South America and Australia. We will sample wines from these regions, discuss their characteristics and common traits, and then discuss the winemaking techniques that lead to these various flavor profiles. MUST BE 21 TO TAKE THIS CLASS. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Dance
Have you ever seen the movie “Shall We Dance” or TV show
“Dancing with the Stars” and thought, “I would love
to do that.” Well now is your chance! Come and learn from a certified
instructor how to move gracefully around the dance floor to the sounds
of music from yesterday and today. You will learn dances like the Foxtrot
and Waltz at 6:00 or Rumba and Cha Cha at 7:15. No previous dance experience
is required. Smooth sole shoes are recommended.
TEACHER BIOGRAPHY: Eric Bolton works at the
DCH Health System during the daytime in the computer department, but
teaches ballroom dancing during several evenings throughout the year.
His parents ‘forced’ him to attend an Arthur Murray dance
party in 1987 and he then continued to take lessons until 1991. He then
taught at the Arthur Murray dance studio in Lancaster, PA for 3-1/2
years while attending a nearby college. After moving to Tuscaloosa in
1998 he has taught for the Tuscaloosa Ballroom Dance Club (www.tbdc.org),
been president of the Tuscaloosa Ballroom Dance Club and taught lessons
for other organizations such as Shelton Community College, North River
Yacht Club, and the University of Alabama. Eric’s ‘permanent’
dance partner is his wife Tiffany and his ‘protégé’
is his son Lukas.
Latin Dances
Basic Latin dance movement will be explored with a focus on learning basic steps in the Rumba, Cha Cha and Mambo.

Yoga
This one hour class will consist of a ten minute warm up, followed by an intense thirty minute workout. We will conclude with twenty minutes of deep relaxation. All levels are welcome, from complete beginners to seasoned practitioners.
TEACHER BIOGRAPHY: Bob McKinney is the owner of Yin-Yang Yoga Studios in Tuscaloosa. He began teaching yoga in 2004 after studying under Ashtanga yoga master Doug Swenson. Bob strives to keep his classes serious yet fun and accessible to everyone.Yin-Yang Yoga
